Paul Norton
Paul Norton has been a professional musician for over 30 years – from his 1980’s hit band The Runners, to a successful solo career, to writer, producer and musical director.
Paul has worked with Wendy & The Rockets, Steve Hoy and the Hoy Boys, Hillbilly Moon, and with these and his own bands has toured extensively.
Paul has written for and with some of Australia’s finest performers including Debra Byrne, Gerry Hale, Wendy Stapleton, Donna Fisk and Michael Cristian, Dobe Newton and Colleen Hewitt and produced Dobe Newton’s first Solo album A Convict Can’t Be Trusted.
He was Musical Director and wrote the score for The Australian Shakespeare’s production of Much Ado About Nothing, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and Jungle Book the concert show, Certified Male and Barassi the Stage Show.
Paul toured Australia with the Countdown Spectacular featuring 27 of Australia’s top Rock Acts of the eighties performing to 100,000 people nationwide.
This is but a précis of his contribution to the Australian music and entertainment landscape.
He has been a Weekend Warrior coach for 10 years and guided hundreds of musicians to fulfill their dream.
