Vince Contarino

Vince has been working as a singer-songwriter and musician for the last forty years. He has toured Australia and New Zealand extensively with the highly acclaimed Zep Boys and Party Boys (Joe Walsh-Eagles, Mark Evans-AC/DC, Steve Williams-Wa WA Ne, and Paul Christie-Mondo Rock).

He also is the front man for the Bruce Kulick Band (Kiss). Bruce uses Vince as his vocalist when he performs in Australia. In his long and lively career, he has worked closely as a vocal director for Joe Camilleri (Black Sorrows) and supported acts such as Alice Cooper, Status Quo and Stevie Marriott (Small Faces) and many more.

He has performed 4 sellout seasons with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Victoria doing orchestral versions of Led Zeppelin and also Deep Purple with the late and great Jon Lord (founding member of Deep Purple ) on the keyboard.

In 1997 he turned his talent and enthusiasm towards the theatre, working in association with the cross-cultural Theatre Company Doppio Teatro (Bread and Onions, Pulcinella and Ciao Mamma Ciao). This is where he discovered his desire to pursue world and folk music.

He has worked with Rockola School Performances taking theatre to schools throughout Australia (Radio Brainstorm, Great Southernland, and BullyBoy).

Vince has also added the roles of Judas (Jesus Christ Superstar) and the Pharaoh (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) to his repertoire when he worked at Her Majesty’s Theatre. He has also worked as a mentor for the Helpmann Academy.
